windows 8 apps are not installing showing as pending [Solved]

Windows 8 apps pending not downloading?

I don't know what the problem is with Microsoft the app store is really creating problem for windows 8 users and seem to be buggy. I tried to install the updates for my windows 8 app which were out of date . Total 14 apps were asking for update, I opened the windows 8 store and selected all the 14 apps and put them to update.
Few apps installed and was updated soon but some app were showing pending though the update was not very fast . I checked my internet connection. I was getting  speed of 11 mbps. So there was no problem with the internet.
I tried finding solution ,visited MS help center and was little pleased to know that this problem was faced by number of users .
I read few blogs but they were of no use.finally i got the solution to this problem

How to fix app pending in windows 8?

first of all cancel all app download or updates
press Win key + R to bring up the Run Window. Type “WSReset.exe” and press Enter

this will clear all the apps cache .

Open start menu and type :    msconfig

open msconfig : go to boot and put a tick on boot with active "directory repair option". Restart windows 8 to boot in Safe mode

After booting in safe mode browse c:\ windows
search for folder name "SoftwareDistribution"
Now rename it as "SoftwareDistribution.old".
Again open msconfig and untick the safe boot option and reboot in normal mode.
Windows will restart and now open windows store and update the apps one by one.
I recommend to set proxy in windows 8 for updating windows 8 apps. This makes update really fast and error free without showing pending and hanging up for long hours just waiting for the apps to install.

How to set proxy in windows 8?

Now open internet option from start menu search

click on LAN setting.
go to http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/
Choose a suitable proxy as per your wish.
Add the proxy and click OK and then apply , now proxy is sucessfully set up in windows 8.

hope this tutorial will help solving windows 8 store app update problem.
